Bempton Cliffs - Puffins

Well here's my last post for Bempton Cliffs.

We could see lots of Puffins flying off the cliffs and heading out to sea and I was starting to give up hope when I spotted one hovering along the edge of the cliff, so I knew they were landing nearby but I couldn't see them.

So I had no choice, I wasn't going to travel all that way and not take a photo of a Puffin. There is a small wire fence that is between the path and certain death which I was able to lean over and get a clear shot of them.

I hope you all like the shots.

All photos taken 24/05/2008 Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve.

  1. Great photos Mike. Don't you dare risk your life for a photo though. I would hate to read an obit about you plummeting down a cliff side trying to capture a picture for your blog. We would miss so much more.

Puffins are worth a little risk though. I love their little clown faces.
